PurpleOne Training Offered by Partners

Teach Your Community to Recognize. Respond to. and Refer. Victims of Domestic Violence

We know most victims of domestic violence do not seek services through our agencies. PurpleOne Training seeks to change this trend by educating both the community and victims on what domestic violence is and empowering community members to become active, pro-social bystanders.

PurpleOne Training is a half-day training that Partners offer to their community focusing on an overview of domestic violence and teaching individuals to become active bystanders. This training is provided free to participants; participants receive a certificate of completion and the opportunity to have their organization become a Safe Place for Domestic Violence Victims after they complete the knowledge test. The training can be presented on-site or online.

PurpleOne Training has been deemed evidence-based due to its success in increasing domestic violence and bystander intervention knowledge, participants' willingness to intervene and their confidence in doing so.

Individuals who successfully complete the training and who are an employee at a local business or organization can facilitate their business applying to become a Safe Place for Domestic Violence Victims.

If you're ready to offer the PurpleOne Training in your area, learn more about becoming a Partner.
