PurpleOne Partner Requirements
Our Standards Help Protect Victims' Safety
PurpleOne's requirements for Partners keep victims' safety at the forefront. Because our Partners agree to and adhere to these requirements and the PurpleOne Standards of Excellence, victims can rest assured that they will be assisted by domestic violence professionals as they walk away from domestic violence and toward their future freedom.
In order to be licensed as a PurpleOne Partner and maintain their PurpleOne Partner status, Partners must meet or exceed the following expectations:
To Receive a Licensing as a PurpleOne Partner:
Applicant must be recognized by their state's domestic violence coalition and offer comprehensive domestic violence services or have a Memorandum of Understanding with a domestic violence agency that provides comprehensive service domestic violence services. Comprehensive services must include: emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline, counseling, support groups and advocacy. Domestic violence agencies open with fewer than 5 years' experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Public search does not uncover that the organization, designee or a member of the organization’s leadership is on public record as being convicted of any charges of assault, stalking, other domestic violence-related charges or any criminal act as outlined in Section 2 of the Reporting of Matters related to Recipient Integrity and Performance of the Office of Violence Against Women as found here: https://www.justice.gov/ovw/file/870606/download.
Complete the PurpleOne Partner Application and be approved by PurpleOne National.
Attend PurpleOne Partner Training.
Satisfactorily complete the Licensing Agreement, including agreeing to the Standards of Excellence and these Partner Requirements.
Provide licensing payment for the PurpleOne Partner Program level of choice.
PurpleOne Partners agree to the following terms that are valid for the duration of the license term:
Provide PurpleOne Training information and dates to PurpleOne National through the Partner Portal. Partners will be responsible for registration for their own training and insuring that each participant has signed the PurpleOne Participant Release Form prior to the training.
Provide knowledge tests and evaluation for PurpleOne Training Participants and PurpleOne. Training Summary Report each time you hold a PurpleOne Training. (PurpleOne will provide Partners with online evaluation tools).
Review and provide timely feedback on the applications for Safe Place for Domestic Violence Victims from your area.
Submit annual report on the number of trainings, how many individuals were trained, and referrals made through the program.
