GET TRAINED

Individuals can learn to Recognize. Respond to. and Refer. victims of domestic violence through a half-day course. Businesses with one or more  trained employees can apply to be recognized on the Safe Place Finder for Domestic Violence Victims – a resource for domestic violence victims to find safe places to receive help.

Find a safe place

If you or a loved one is a victim of domestic violence, finding a safe place to receive a referral for help may be a challenge. Use the Safe Place for Domestic Violence Victims to view locations in your community that have certified individuals who can assist you.

get involved

We have provided a number of ways for you to get involved and support PurpleOne aside from getting trained. From putting a sign in your yard or on your car to donating, there’s something each of us can do.

Upcoming PurpleOne Trainings by

Safe Journey

Attending a PurpleOne Training teaches you to Recognize victims of domestic violence, Respond appropriately, and Refer them to the best resources. Businesses with one or more trained individuals at a physical location, when trained by a partner in their local area, may apply to become a Safe Place for Domestic Violence Victims. This provides the organization the ability to display the PurpleOne Dot.

Learn How You Can Get Involved

No matter your ability or resources, there are multiple ways for you to get involved. This is a community effort – join us!

“The PurpleOne trainers immediately made me comfortable by presenting factual information about a difficult topic in a non-threatening manner. The national statistics presented were daunting, but the local statistics were overwhelming.  The trainers presented ways to be a prosocial bystander, but not put the victim or others in danger.  I highly recommend this valuable training.”

Retired School Administrator

“I learned that domestic violence isn’t about the abuser being out of control. It’s really about an abuser choosing who they hurt, when they hurt them, and how they hurt them. Because an abuser works very hard at hiding what they’re doing, I learned how to spot signs of abuse and ways I can safely help a victim.”
